About ProtectYourParents.org
A small personal project with one goal: help your family say “no” to scammers.
I’m an IT executive who loves his parents and grandparents more than he loves new gadgets and buzzwords. Every week I see another story in the local newspaper about someone in their 70s or 80s losing their savings to a scammer.
This project started with a call from my mom. “Google” had called her saying her password was stolen. They wanted a six-digit code and asked her to install an app called Telegram. Thankfully, she called me first.
That near-miss made something very clear: if my own family, with a legit executive tech person on speed dial, could get that close to being scammed, a lot of other families are at risk too.
This site will always be free. It will never include my name. It will never have ads, a donate button, or any way to monitize my efforts. I'm donating my time and resources for something I'm incredibly passionate about.
